I'd guess not till summer at least. At&t has an exclusive on it (not sure
how long it is exactly, probably 6 months).

I just picked up a z600 unlocked at a retailer in NYC. They, and the
t630, are just starting to hit retail stores around the US. You can
get either one for about $385 unlocked and pop in your SIM.

I'm just experimenting, but I've been told that if you have t-mobile
configure your WAP settings as if you have a t610, that the z600 works
fine with t-zones.

How did AT&T get that deal? It seems that Motorola would us all channels to
market on a new product.

You don't "get" that deal, you PAY for it, either by paying a higher price
per handset, or by guaranteeing a set level of sales, or by promising a
certain level of handset-specific marketing support (dollars).

Last week I was at CES and played with a V600 and a V600 Swarovski
Crystal edition...my wife is not seeing that one!

Anyhow, besides the phone looking pretty good and solid, I talked to a
rep that handles the US. He stated that AT&T does not actually have
any exclusive on this. They were just the first to take a grab at it.
Cingular and TMobile do have the option to carry this phone, but have
not yet chose to. His guess was partially due to a contract issue
with the 850 and 950 Mhz between these carriers.

From what I understand, the reason TMobile is offering the T610 is
that it offers the 950Mhz and the contract they have with freq sharing
on the west cost for TMobile will not limit customers to the higher
frequency. Likewise, Cingular on the east coast. In otherwords, they
are using the freq to help make their distinction of one carrier over
the other in certain territories.

This also does mean, and I can confirm this, that TMobile users can
indeed roam on 850Mhz if they have a phone that is enabled for this,
such as the T616. I can assume this in some sort from discussions
with TMobile and in a test scenario where I had a perfect signal on my
unlocked T616 and a person with a T610 had nothing out here in Los
Angeles.

HI if you want to use Motorola V600 mobile with t-mobile sim then you must first check that whether the phone is locked or unlocked one .If the phone is unlocked one then you can freely use it with any GSM sim .Else if it is locked to some other network then until you unlock it you can't use any other network sim in it .You can easily unlock the phone using sites like ProUnlocking.com here they are providing unlock code for all mobile models at reliable cost ...
