Retreiving Email

I have a Sony Ericsson t300 phone. I can retreive email messages, but when
I go to send, it just sits saying "server found". Anyone else having this
problem? How can one fix it? Thanks.

My P800 takes a LONG time to connect to fido's SMTP server - in the
order of nearly a minute.

When I set it to use my own mailserver, it connects in under 5 sec.

Doesn't it though? It's using GPRS, so it goes by how much now how long.

Nope.

No, it doesn't. GPRS has no "time" element, it is simply bytes transfered,
waiting for a server to response causes no bytes to transfer.
