If you really must have the stylus, about the only other game in town is the
LG Stylus 2 or Stylus 2 Plus. But they're really mid-range phones, so not
in the same league as the Note series. The stylus is also a squishy
capacitive thing rather than a sharp Wacom digitizer. But the price is
about a third of a Note 7.

I'd really go for a pin-point accurate stylus rather than a mittened-thumb
squishy capacitative "eraser-head" type of pointer. Apart from Samsung's
Note x series and old Palm Treo Newton phones/PDAs, what else uses such?
(OK, yes, the NCR 3125. But let's leave Win3.1 devices out of the picture.)
