Default Nokia 3390 Gold Firmware

Does anybody know a third party company that will flash Nokia DCT-3
handsets for a fee? The phone that I need its firmware updated is the
3390 Gold.

I know www.gsmphonesource.com exists, but they only flash Nokia DCT-4
handsets.

Thanks for any information.

I've had all three firmware revisions (v.2.01, v.2.03 and v.3.01) and there
is no difference between them. May I ask why you need it updated?

My handset still dislays, "VoiceStream" as the operator logo and I want
my phone to reflect the new name (T-Mobile). It's more a cosmetic change
that anything else.

The 7210 that I own displays T-Mobile as the operator logo with a new
SIM card, but when I put the same SIM card in the 3390, the phone
displays Voicestream. Apparently, the new SIM card has no effect on the
old 3390, contrary to what I thought.

I just want to update the firmware of the 3390 as a last-ditch effort.

Do you know of any third party companies that perform firmware updates
to Nokia DCT-3 handsets.

Thanks for the information.

I know exactly what you mean. What firmware revision is your 3390? My 3390
(v.2.03) used to say VoiceStream as well -- even though my other phones say
T-Mobile. I would just pick up a new 3390 from T-Mobile. I got a 3390 for
$30 w/ a 1-year contract extension (I had just renewed it to get the 6610 so
it didn't matter) -- if you're on a $40+ rate plan I'm sure you could get it
for free.

I don't know of anywhere that can flash 3390's with the AIM/Gold firmware...
I really think it would be easier to just get a new 3390. Good luck

The firmware version on my 3390 Gold is 2.03.

Whatever way is the cheapest route to go is the decision I am basing
this on.

Thanks for your help.
